Message So I figured I'd post something that would brighten the mood a little with all the talk of wrecked Z's and very nice Z's having to be sold.

I decided to construct a recording studio/game room/band practice room out of our old pretty much useless garage. Sorry I don't have before pics, but suffice it to say it was so old all the walls were plaster, the 2x4's were actually 2x4's, not 1.5x3.5 like new ones. The floor was completely concrete and one wall was nothing but a 15 foot long sliding door. The door didn't even slide up, the ceiling was not tall enough to even support a curve, so it slid sideways onto the next wall. After more than 200 hours of 3 people doing something they know almost absolutely nothing about (my parents and I), and a couple tons of plaster we peeled off the walls in the back of the truck, it's almost done. This is just one wall on which my amplifier, the mixing board (because i'm the only one in the band that knows how to work it), the sub, and one speaker will go. All the foam is acoustic foam to keep the room from echoing.

Yes, I am the sexy one on the left. The one who's actually doing something, unlike my drummer.

Anyways, so now I need a different place to park my car, and I convinced my dad that the Z was more important than his taurus, so I get the only spot in one of our other garages.

I know it's really messy. I'll get to it. And the pics don't do it justice, it's alot bigger in person, and it has a 4 foot deep oil pit, which is useful, but stupid at the same time because you always have to duck when your in there. I don't know what the people who built it were thinking. Anyways I'm really excited about it so I thought I'd share. Peace
Tom

We named the band after the Gov't Mule song "Soulshine". If anyone knows what I'm talking about, kudos to you. If you don't check out Gov't Mule. Oh yeah, I play the guitar.
